Gaura ‘Passionate Blush’
A light, airy perennial with soft blush-pink flowers that dance above the foliage like butterflies all summer long.
‘Passionate Blush’ produces masses of delicate, pale pink flowers with a deeper flush through the centre, held on slender, wiry stems that move beautifully in the breeze. It has that effortless, natural look, constantly in motion, and is a favourite with pollinators. Perfect for softening planting schemes and adding a long season of colour without feeling heavy.
It forms a loose, clump-forming plant, typically reaching around 60 to 80cm tall with a similar spread. Best grown in full sun and well-drained soil, it thrives in lighter, poorer soils and is very drought tolerant once established. Avoid heavy, wet ground, especially over winter, and give it a light trim in spring to encourage fresh growth.

Ideal Companion Plants from The Green Standard Range
Salvia ‘Caradonna’, upright purple spikes that contrast with the airy gaura flowers
Nepeta ‘Walker’s Low’, soft blue tones that blend beautifully and extend the season
Erigeron ‘Lavender Lady’, light, daisy-like flowers that echo the relaxed feel
Stipa tenuissima, fine grass that enhances the movement and softness
Achillea ‘Lilac Beauty’, flat heads that add structure among the airy planting
🌟 The Green Standard Tip
Don’t overfeed gaura, it performs best in leaner soils. Too much richness can make it floppy, keep it a bit on the tough side for the best shape and longest flowering.
