Origanum ‘Dingle Fairy’

A charming ornamental oregano with delicate hop-like flowers that bring soft colour and movement to sunny borders.

Origanum ‘Dingle Fairy’ produces arching stems of papery pink bracts that resemble tiny hops, gradually deepening in colour through summer. The flowers hang gracefully above aromatic foliage, creating a relaxed, natural look that works beautifully in sunny borders and gravel gardens. Bees and other pollinators are drawn to the nectar-rich flowers, and the leaves are also edible with a light oregano flavour.

This hardy perennial thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, particularly in lighter or gravelly ground. Its gently spreading habit makes it perfect for the front of borders, raised beds, or containers where the delicate flowers can spill softly over the edges.

🌟 The Green Standard Tip:
Lean, well-drained soil keeps plants compact and encourages the best flower colour. Avoid rich soil or heavy feeding for the best results.
