Physostegia virginiana ‘Bouquet Rose’ brings a striking vertical accent to summer borders with tall spires of clear rose-pink flowers. Each tubular bloom is neatly arranged along upright stems, loved by bees and especially good for bumblebees and butterflies. The common name — Obedient Plant — comes from the unusual way each flower can be gently repositioned along the stem and will stay in place.
A member of the mint family, it spreads gently without becoming invasive, thriving in full sun to partial shade with moist but well-drained soil.
